longing for a familiar encounter
tears pouring
heart breaking
walking walking walking
searching but finding nothing

stumbling, confuse like a lost traveler
I reach a store
I take refuge
just a cup, maybe a cone
no, no a pint
I get out and carry on

heart hurting, eyes filled with water
A song plays on the radio
Telling me to find someone like you
I hurriedly run away
saying I don't know what to do
there isn't any other like you

As sadness shifts to anger
tears turn to rage
sobs morph to screams
Everything changed in a second

to lose something you found
to break something you fixed
